NYC & Company Talks: ADA – Going Beyond Compliance to Improve Customer Service

Event Date: July 20, 2015
Please join NYC & Company for their upcoming event: NYC & Company Talks: ADA – Going Beyond Compliance to Improve Customer Service. The event will be held on Monday, July 20th from 3:30pm -5pm at The Roosevelt Hotel (45 East 45th Street). Click here to RSVP

Commissioner Victor Calise, New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, will speak about the 25th Anniversary of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (which is being celebrated throughout the month of July).

In addition, they are very pleased to welcome an amazing keynote speaker, Peter Slatin, who will present Elements of Service. The Slatin Group provides training and education on appropriate and sensitive interaction to move the concept of ADA to the service environment. We all know about the physical requirements of doorway sizes and other accessible regulations to accommodate people with disabilities; however, this program speaks about social access and delivers on the human side of ADA.

Again, it will be a great afternoon to learn and discuss how all of us in the hospitality industry can create a more welcoming and accessible environment. Please plan to attend!
