After the leafy suburb of Peppermint Grove closed its picketed gates to the online lodging service now the City of Bayswater has also come up with a bewildering red tape plan to make it next to impossible for a ratepayer to to rent out accommodation and bring the welcome spending power of guests to the city. If ratepayers in the eastern Perth suburb accept Airbnb guests without getting the big tick of the council admin they could face a whopping big fine of $200,000….
