Spotlight on New General Manager: Warren Herrera
HANYC welcomes Warren Herrera, the newly appointed General Manager at the Gallivant Times Square.
Warren brings with him over a decade of dynamic leadership in the hospitality sector, making him a highly successful hotel operator with a wealth of experience in various roles within the industry. 
With a background in hotel and restaurant management, Warren has demonstrated expertise in performance strategies and controls, brand and loyalty achievement, and financial acumen. He has extensive experience working with brand and luxury boutique-style hotels in the competitive NYC market.
Throughout his career, Warren has been commended for his unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity, delivering exceptional results while exceeding revenue sales goals. His exceptional communication skills, coupled with his professionalism, have earned him the respect of his peers and colleagues.
In his most recent role as General Manager at Elysian Hospitality, Warren has been instrumental in overseeing daily operations, front desk management, housekeeping oversight, staff supervision, revenue management, guest relations, maintenance coordination, budgeting, and financial oversight.
Prior to this, Warren has held significant positions such as Director of Operations at Fortuna Realty Group, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Real Hospitality Group, Choice Hotels International, Hersha Hospitality Management, among others. His diverse experiences have equipped him with the expertise to lead our team to success.
Warren holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance from Berkeley College, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the same institution. He has also pursued additional education and training in hotel revenue management and hotel/restaurant management from reputable institutions such as Cornell University and NYU School of Professional Studies.

Human Trafficking Training
Human trafficking is incredibly widespread and our hotels have an important role to play in keeping our community and our hotels safe from this harm. HANYC is now partnering with Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) to provide FREE human trafficking training for HANYC members and their staff.

She attended the University of Washington receiving a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Business Entrepreneurship. She is currently a student at the Evans School of Public Policy pursuing a Masters in Public Administration. As a member of Wase Forward she helped pass SB 5114 which provided 6 million dollars to provide culturally responsive services to survivors in WA state. She has worked with BEST and The Lantern Project educating the public and private sector on human trafficking and is currently working with the University of Washington on a research study focused on trauma informed survivor interviewing and reporting. She has served on the Seattle Human Rights Commission as the Human Trafficking Chair, volunteered with Rotary and currently sits on the Board for the Organization for Prostitution Survivors.
