The city is putting Airbnb on notice — there’s no room at the inn for bad behavior.
Mayor de Blasio said he’s all for the sharing economy but will get “aggressive” with greedy landlords who violate the state’s illegal hotel laws.
“If they want a good working relationship with the city of New York, they must be transparent,” said de Blasio.
He said an analysis that found Airbnb dropped 1,000 questionable listings before opening its books to lawmakers left him “troubled.”
The analysis from Inside Airbnb was first reported by the Daily News. Airbnb said listings are dropped from its website as part of its quality control.
