NOLA.com – Council wants more feedback before setting New Orleans short-term rental policy

…The City Council had previously ordered the city planning staff to conduct a study it could use to create regulation of short-term rentals, which have proliferated in New Orleans through websites such as Airbnb.com and others. Current city law forbids residential rentals of fewer than 30 days — and 60 days in the French Quarter — but enforcement has proven elusive and expensive….
