WKRN Nashville – New rules could change the way Airbnbs operate in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Thousands of people in Nashville rent their homes to visitors through websites like Airbnb and VRBO.com. New rules could crackdown on illegal short term rental properties in Davidson County. To operate an Airbnb in Nashville, you have to have a permit and can only have up to twelve guests. But the ordinance is difficult to enforce. City Council members Bob Mendes, Freddie O’Connell and Colby Sledge have proposed three changes to the ordinance so Metro can identify and shutdown illegal Airbnbs more easily….
