The Tennessean – Nashville neighborhood leaders push investor-owned Airbnb ban

A coalition of neighborhood groups leading the fight against Airbnb in Nashville says a moratorium wouldn’t go far enough as they double down on their call for the Metro Council to ban most investor-owned short-term rental properties. In a letter to council members on Monday, the Nashville Neighborhood Alliance says concerns of residents “can only be solved” by a complete elimination of non-owner-owned STRPs in residential neighborhood. “Those Nashvillians who are having their lives disrupted by STRs need a definitive action to solve this problem by this Council,” reads the letter, which was issued as a response to a new proposal for a moratorium. “They have suffered long enough without any relief being given by their Metro government.”…
