The owner of a downtown lodging business is suing vacation-rental service giant Airbnb, saying its Internet business ignores a law that requires short-term rental properties in the city of Santa Fe to have permits and collect taxes. “The proliferation of unlicensed rentals in the city of Santa Fe has saturated the market for short-term rentals in violation of the local ordinance,” Bruce Kuehnle states in a complaint filed in state District Court.
