Reykjavik Grapevine – Police Shut Down AirBnB Location

March 29, 2016
An AirBnB location offering guest accommodation has been shut down by police for lacking an operating license. RÚV reports that the location in question was in Suðurnes, southwest Iceland, but police are planning on raiding more AirBnB locations as well. Police will be checking to see if any of them have a license to operate guest accommodation in Iceland and, if not, will shut them down. There are an estimated 135 AirBnB postings in Suðurnes alone….
