City taxes collected from Big Apple hotel stays have dropped or remained flat in recent months — and apartment sharing websites like Airbnb are believed to behind it, according to a new analysis of the city budget released Monday. Revenue from hotel occupancy taxes dropped 4% from October through March, and sales taxes collected from hotel stays fell 1.3% for the first three quarters of 2016, the non-partisan Independent Budget Office found….
