Airbnb has narrowly avoided a hefty fine for advertising lodgings that did not have permits to host tourists. A Barcelona court has annulled a fine of 30,000 euros (£25,000) imposed by the regional government of Catalonia. The court justified its decision in a ruling dated November 29 on the grounds that there is a legal vacuum regarding the regulation of the ‘sharing economy’ in Spain….
